Weather Table

Ryan and I decided to try to build an iOS app using ClojureScript as a technical proof-of-concept. The application concept was accurate short-term forecasts supplemented by summary statistics/visualizations:
E.g., you could plan a vacation two months out by pulling up a location’s typical weather for that period: rain, hourly temperature progression, &c.
After implementing the prototype we realized that the UI design:
- felt janky due to iOS scrolling behavior outside of our control
- required too many clicks to view the immediate forecast
- was too focused on the historical data and wouldn’t often be useful even if executed perfectly
Taking what we learned, we scrapped the Weather Table app and started from scratch on The Weathertron iOS app.
